Junior League of Tulsa

Scholarship

Every year, the Junior League of Tulsa, Inc. awards scholarships to women in the Tulsa area to assist with funding their education.  Our scholarships are directly funded by our Annual Mentorship Luncheon where we recognize the recipients.  

Mrs. W. Albert Cook Scholarship

We will award two scholarships to women furthering their education as "non-traditional students" at an accredited college, university, or technical school. The recipients will be selected based upon their commitment to education and demonstrated financial need. The scholarships will be directly applied to the fall semester tuition. All applicants must meet the following eligibility requirements:

  • Be a female currently enrolled or soon-to-be enrolled as a "non-traditional student";
  • Possess a high school diploma or GED;
  • Be willing to submit income information if requested;
  • Not be a member, sustainer, or immediate relative of a member of the Junior League of Tulsa, Inc.; and
  • Must live in the Tulsa area (Tulsa, Rogers, Wagoner, Osage, Creek or Okmulgee Counties).

Founders’ Scholarship

We will award two $4,000 Founders’ Scholarships which may be used for any accredited college, university, or technical trade school. The scholarships will be directly applied to the fall semester tuition. All applicants must meet the following eligibility requirements: 

  • Be a female high school senior;
  • Attend high school in the Tulsa area (Tulsa, Rogers, Wagoner, Osage, Creek, or Okmulgee Counties);
  • Maintain at least a 3.0 cumulative grade point average (GPA) based on a 4.0 scale;
  • Exhibit a commitment to voluntarism; and
  • May not be an immediate relative of an active or sustaining member of the Junior League of Tulsa, Inc.

Application Procedures:

To apply, complete the Mrs. W. Albert Cook Scholarship Application or the Founders’ Scholarship Application including your personal information, essay question, financial information, and other information requested. Your application must be completed in its entirety to be considered. Completed applications must be received by February 10, 2016. Interviews for finalists will be held in March 2016.
