Membership Matters

The Junior League of Tulsa kicked off the new League year with a bright and joyful retreat welcoming 36 incredible women to our 2025–26 Provisional Class. These new members bring fresh energy, diverse experiences, and a shared commitment to making Tulsa a stronger, more connected community.

This year’s retreat theme — “JLT: The Zest of Tulsa” — set the tone for a warm, welcoming, and lemon-themed morning filled with learning, connection, and inspiration. The Provisional Team brought the theme to life with cheerful décor, thoughtful touches, and a program designed to introduce our newest members to the heart of the League.

What They Learned

The retreat offered a first look into the work JLT does across Tulsa, with a focus on the impact of our community partnerships. Representatives from Take 2 and The Common Good joined us to share how Junior League volunteers support their programs — and how our members directly contribute to the growth, stability, and success of the individuals they serve.

Provisionals also learned the ins and outs of League structure, placements, leadership opportunities, and the training and volunteer experiences ahead. More importantly, they started building the relationships that turn a Provisional year into lifelong League connections.

Who Was There

While our total Provisional class includes 36 members, 28 were able to attend the retreat in person, filling the room with energy and enthusiasm. Their engagement throughout the day — asking questions, meeting fellow members, and connecting with our community partners — set the tone for a strong start to the year.

The retreat was organized and led by our outstanding Provisional Team, whose effort, planning, and heart made the day not just informative, but truly fun and welcoming.

A Bright Start to a Meaningful Year

This class represents the next generation of JLT leadership: women ready to serve, collaborate, learn, and make an impact. We can’t wait to see the ways they’ll contribute to the League and to Tulsa in the months ahead.
