Supporting Tulsa Women With Dignity

This year’s Find the Good Day reminded us how powerful our League can be when we focus on one simple idea: meet a real need, and meet it well.

Throughout September, our members collected feminine hygiene products for women and girls across Tulsa — an often overlooked need that has very real consequences for families experiencing poverty. Pads and tampons are expensive, rarely donated, and absolutely essential. When people can’t access them, school days are missed, work is disrupted, and basic dignity takes a hit.

So our members went all in.

Thanks to the generosity of our League and the wider Tulsa community, we wrapped our second year of Find the Good Day with a strong collection and a meaningful impact. Over the past two years, JLT has gathered a total of 20,801 donated menstrual products, valued at nearly $19,000, supporting an estimated 945 women and girls in the Tulsa metro.

Delivery Day: November 4, 2025

On November 4, our Community Council and volunteers loaded up the donations and delivered them to three partner organizations:

• The Common Good
• Resonance
• Ronald McDonald House

Each organization welcomed the products with enthusiasm and gratitude, knowing exactly how far these supplies will go for the people they serve. From women working toward recovery, to families caring for children in medical treatment, to girls who simply want to stay in school with confidence — these products make a tangible difference.

Why This Matters

Period poverty isn’t abstract. It affects daily life for thousands of women and girls in Tulsa. And while the need is year-round, Find the Good Day gives us a shared moment to step up together.

This initiative also ties directly to our mission: advancing women’s leadership for meaningful community impact. We don’t just talk about community need — we show up, partner intentionally, and deliver support where it counts.
