As it continues to get colder, emergency shelters in the Tulsa area are filling up. Tulsa’s Channel 8, Junior League of Tulsa, and UniFirst have partnered for Mike’s Spread the Warmth Blanket Drive now through Jan. 31. Oklahoma is one of the poorest states in the country, with more than half of the state’s counties having an average income of at or below the federal poverty level leaving many ill-equipped this winter. Help keep Tulsa warm by donating your new or gently used blankets to any of the following locations:

Spread the Warmth Blanket Drive recipients include: Pearl’s Hope Transitional Housing, Youth services of Creek County in Sapulpa, Emergency Infant Services, Family & Children’s Services,Hard Core Ministries, The Assembly Pantry/Outreach, Manna House, Night Light Tulsa-homeless outreach, Tulsa County Emergency Shelter, Youth Services of Tulsa, Gospel Rescue Mission- homeless shelter, Iron Gate, and Just Beginning-transitional house for women.
