Tulsa, Okla. – The 12th annual Junior League of Tulsa, Inc. (JLT) Holiday Market shopping extravaganza is a one-stop shop for all your holiday shopping needs. For three days, the Union Multipurpose Activity Center (UMAC), located at 6836 S. Mingo Road, will turn into a festive marketplace with both local and national vendors selling clothing, jewelry, home décor, books, beauty products, and a wide variety of other gifts and seasonal decor. New to Holiday Market this year is our Maker’s Market, located in the atrium of the UMAC. The Maker’s Market will feature vendors with hand-made or made-in-Oklahoma products in our new mini-booths.

JLT Holiday Market runs from Friday, December 8 through Sunday, December 10. General admission is open to the public Friday 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., Saturday 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Sunday 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. One ticket gets you in all three days and can be purchased for $5.00 at www.jltulsa.org or at the door. Children 12 and under receive free admission. On Sunday, we invite all educators, administrators, and school personnel, as well as military personnel, to join us with complimentary general admission from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. A valid ID is required for all complimentary admissions.

According to Amy Brown, JLT Holiday Market Chair Elect, Holiday Market lets people complete their holiday shopping and get into the Christmas spirit.

“Holiday Market is the perfect place to ignite your holiday gift-giving. With a large selection of unique gifts from premier merchants, you’ll be sure to find something for everyone on your list – and we have complimentary gift wrap! We invite you to join the camaraderie and make Holiday Market an annual shopping tradition of your own,” says Brown.

In addition to general admission, Holiday Market features a two-day special event:

Cookies with the Clauses – Saturday, December 9 and Sunday, December 10 from 2 to 4 p.m.
Cookies with the Clauses is a fun opportunity for children to take their picture with Santa and Mrs. Claus and decorate cookies. Christmas cookies will be donated by Cookiedoodle along with icing and toppings. Cookie decorating is $10.00 per cookie and photos with Santa are $10.00 per family.

The market consists of a variety of gifts and allows you to support small businesses with your holiday shopping according to Elaina Osteen, Holiday Market Chair.

“Holiday Market is a festive shopping experience featuring unique items, wonderful vendors, and the best Santa in town. It’s a fantastic way to get in the holiday spirit while supporting both small businesses and one of Tulsa’s oldest non-profit organizations, the Junior League! We enjoy spending the holiday season engaging with the community and look forward to a highly successful 12th year,” says Osteen.
